Introduction.


Welcome to Touch2TXT!

Touch2TXT provides an immediate, cost effective and simple way to send and receive TXT messages with an iPod Touch. Touch2TXT uses the Messenger Direct API for SMS messaging, and uses mTagTM technology to provide real two-way messaging on your iPod Touch.

Signing Up for Touch2TXT.


A couple of things to note before you sign up:

To sign up for Touch2TXT go to the Touch2TXT sign up page. Complete the form including your name, a valid email address and your mobile number in International Format. When you have completed the fields, enter the code shown at the bottom of the page and tap the Sign Up! button.

An SMS message will be sent to your mobile phone. You will need to reply to this message from with the word CONFIRM. You will then receive an SMS message containing your Touch2TXT Username & Password.

Logging in to Touch2TXT.


To login to Touch2TXT, go to the Touch2TXT Page and tap Settings. Enter your Username and Password and tap Done.

Tapping the New Account button will take you to the Touch2TXT Signup page.

Sending a Message.


To send a message tap the New button in the top right corner of any Touch2TXT page. Enter the recipients phone number in international format, enter the message and tap the Send button.

Message Lists.


Tapping on Sent Messages will show a summary list of messages you have sent.

Tapping on Received Messages will show a summary list of messages you have received.

Tapping on a message in either of these lists will show the message in detail.

Each message in your sent and received message list includes a status field. Depending on the Network the messages are sent to, some of the following Status messages may appear:

Topping Up Your Account.


Once your account balance has reached zero you will not be able to send any messages. You will have to top up your account.

To do this tap Settings and tap the Add Credit button. This will open a new browser window. You will need to enter your username and password and tap the Login button. This will take you to My Account page. Tap the Make a Payment button and fill out the form. Payments may be made through PayPal or by credit card.

Add Touch2TXT to Home Screen.


If your iPod Touch is running software version 1.1.3 (with Software Upgrade), you can add Touch2TXT to your home screen.

Using Safari, browse to Touch2TXT page. When the page has loaded tap the + at the bottom of the screen, tap Add to Home Screen, rename to Touch2TXT and tap Add.

This icon will appear on your iPod Touch Home Screen.
Tapping on this icon will take you directly to Touch2TXT.
